Wikipedia:Josef Masopust (9 February 1931 Střimice u Mostu - 29 June 2015 Prague) was a Czechoslovak football player and coach. In 1962 he received the Golden Ball award for the best European footballer. In 2000, he won the Czech Football Personality of the Century award and shortly afterwards experts voted him Czech Footballer of the Century. In 2004, Pelé ranked him among the 125 best living footballers. He featured on the UEFA Jubilee 52 Golden Players list.
Since 2009, the Most stadium (Josef Masopust Football Stadium) has been named after him. In May 2012, a statue of him was unveiled at the Dukla Prague stadium in Juliska, Prague 6, in his memory.
