JAWA, the legendary Czechoslovak motorcycle brand founded in 1929 by František Janeček. The name was created by combining the names JAneček and WAnderer. Since its inception, it has become famous for its innovative designs and sporting achievements. Models such as the 250/350, Perak and 500 OHC became icons of Czechoslovak motoring. In the 1950s and 1960s, JAWA was one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers with exports to 120 countries.
